An opening word sets the tone, followed by 30 to 60 seconds of shared silence.
A GRIT Group is two or more people who meet regularly, for about an hour, to remember meaningful experiences, reflect on what they taught us, and imagine the future we want — together.
No expert, no curriculum, no special equipment. Just a simple rhythm that makes room for honest stories and deep listening.
An opening word sets the tone, followed by 30 to 60 seconds of shared silence.
Each person shares a meaningful experience in 3 to 5 minutes. Others listen, then ask open-ended questions.
A minute or two of quiet reflection, then each person shares the future they hope for.
A talking piece goes around once more, and the group ends as one.
At a kitchen table, in a classroom, on a video call. With old friends or new ones. You don't need permission — just people willing to show up.
We grow wiser through honest conversation and deep listening. When people keep showing up for one another, something forms between them that none could build alone — we call it collective resilience.
GRIT Groups are a simple way to strengthen what researchers call social health: the connection and belonging that help people, and communities, thrive.
Conversations → relationships → wisdom → dignity → culture → a better future.
